Condolences Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson’s 2 year old son has reportedly been beaten to death. Condolences go out to the Peterson family. AP has reported he is playing without a doubt. If you think he ran with a purpose before, imagine this Sunday. I know it seems wrong talking about gambling after this tragedy but bet the house on Minnesota -1! AP for 200 yards and 3 Tds. And I’m not only saying this because he’s on my fantasy team. Plus if the NFL has anything to say about this. They’ll televise the game, keep a close eye on AP and fix the game for MN to win lol.

CFB – Week 7 – POTW

Thursday 10/10/2013

4:30PM – Rutgers vs. Louisville OVER 54.  The way Louisville has been winning you’d think they’d be going over every game right?  Wrong!  I was surprised myself.  However, Louisville does enough on their end to score and sits Bridgewater in the 4th to keep him healthy but the opposing team hasn’t been scoring.  Different story this week folks.  Coming into town is solid Rutgers team with Nova tossing only 3 TD’s less than Bridgewater.  Both teams can’t stop a nosebleed.  This one ends in a shoot out in the 60’s.  I think Rutgers RB might not be 100% and if not, I do like Louisville to cover but again, like last Thursday feel much better betting the over.

Saturday 10/12/2013

Morning Games

9:00AM – Oklahoma -13.5 vs. Texas.  The Red River Shootout!  Normally I would stay away from games of this magnitude.  BUT Texas is absolute garbage and still without QB Ash.  McCoy just can’t live up to the family name.  They should’ve lost last week on a horrible call by the refs.  Oklahoma D within the top 10 I believe in most categories.  The Bell-Dover should lead a slaying.

9:00AM – Houston -9.5 vs. Memphis.  Memphis has screwed me the last 3 weeks because I bet against them thinking they were garbage.  But they’ve covered!  Which makes me want to stay away.  But then I looked at their opponent in Houston and gave the Lee Corso, “NOT SO FAST, MY FRIEND.”  Coogs should put up points early and often, even if they allow a few scores from Memphis should cover easily.

Afternoon Games

12:00PM – Ball St. -14 vs. Kent St.  Wenning WOW.  That’s all I can say.  Again, besides the one hiccup against North Texas, again, who is legit.  Ball so hard University has been killing ATS.  It’s one of those things like craps.  You ride the hot shooter until the craps out.  And even if he craps out and you had $4-500 laying across the board.  You still pat him on the back for keeping the roll going for 20-25 minutes.  As long as the spread looks decent Ball So Hard it is.

12:30PM – Maryland -6 vs. Virginia.  Virginia is BAD, QB can’t hit the broad side of a barn.  MD was doing so well until the walloping last week to a very good FSU team.  I see a bounce back game and Maryland back to early season form.  Easy 2TD margin.

12:30PM – Baylor -17 vs. Kansas St.  K St. is bad this year.  With Baylor putting up 69ppg.  I don’t even see this as a fair contest.  Could be a worse beating than last year when they HAD Colin Klein at QB.  I’m taking 1h and whole game like I did last week.  I just hope the 3rd string Baylor playing don’t come in and make it remotely close.

12:30PM – Clemson -24.5 vs. BC.  Boston College.  BC has had 1 road game this season and it was at USC and got murdered.  No team should ever get murdered by USC.  This is the 3rd straight year where both these QB’s have started for their team and Clemson covering each and every time.  I don’t see this changing.  This game as well will be bet 1h and whole game for me.

12:30PM – LSU -7 vs. Florida.  Although this year might be one of Florida’s best defensive teams.  LSU is just as physical and good.  The tide turns here with LSU’s run ability and the MUCH improved QB in Zach Mettenberger and the porn stache.  Hard to see LSU not winning by at least a TD.

12:30PM – Northwestern +10 vs. Wisconsin.  Did you see the way NW played against OH St last week.  Some might say they should’ve won the game.  Wisconsin is not that good, I can see a SU victory by NW here.

1:00PM – Oregon -13.5 vs. Washington.  Colt Lyerla gone from Oregon, no problem.  It’s not like he was catching anything.  Next man up.  Washington is legit but can they keep up with the scoring?  I think not.  Mariota and the Black Mamba, need we say more for the last 4-5 games?  I’m betting 1h and whole game here too.

2:00PM – Northern IL -23.5 vs. Akron.  Northern IL is back to where they should be with QB Jordan Lynch.  Slight work here.  I’ll take 1h and whole game.

4:00PM Alabama -27.5 vs. Kentucky.  WOW Kentucky has had a brutal schedule.  Lou to FL to SoCar and now Bama.  They have to be beat and who better to kick them when they’re down but Bama.  I give Kentucky 3 points on the board LOL.

Evening Games

5:30PM – Texas A&M -6 vs. Ole Miss.  The Rebels are trying to find themselves and it ain’t gonna help against Johnny Manziel.  See a shoot out but Manziel getting the better of Ole Miss by 2 TD’s

So much for not liking too many games.  These are the picks that I like.  Good Luck everyone!

Week 6 Review

I think I liked WAY too many games last week but hit 9 our of 14.  Maybe 8.5 out of 14, somebody upstairs gifted us that OH State cover LOL.  I guess if you spread your money around all the bets, you made some money at least.  I wish I would’ve feel asleep for the Stanford game.  Backdoor cover screwed us twice this weekend.  Washington and BGSU.  I’ll have to really dig deep this week, picks might not be out until tomorrow.  I’m struggling this week to find anything I absolutely love.  Might be a week to just sit out.  I’ll keep you all posted.  Thanks.

CFB – Week 6 – POTW

Thursday 10/3/2013

7:00PM – UCLA -5.5 vs. Utah.  Ok, I mulled this bet since the line came out Monday.  My first instinct was it was a trap, both QB’s have improved and the Utes are at home.  I’m going to stick with my gut.  UCLA looked down and out against a decent Nebraska team but came back from a huge deficit.  Utes allowing over 400 ypg, it’s hard for me to not see UCLA winning by at least a TD with their D playing well.

Friday 10/4/2013

6:00PM – Nevada vs. SDSU OVER 57.  Both teams cannot stop a nose bleed.  SDSU actually looked somewhat decent moving the ball against OR St.  Cody Fajardo is a Colin Kaepernick type and they definitely can move the ball.  I see this game going into the 70’s.  I actually like Nevada to cover as well but feel much safer with the Over.

Saturday 10/5/2013

Morning Games

9:00AM – Ball St. +5.5 vs. UVA.  UVA offense is garbage mainly due to their QB.  Wenning just keeps shining and shining.  Besides that one mishap against UNT (who we now know is legit) where they had 5 turnovers, Ball so hard University has been doing just that, BALLIN.  It’s hard for me to see Ball St. not keeping up with UVA.  I actually see a SU win.

Afternoon Games

12:30PM – Georgia -10.5 vs. Tennessee.  Last year Tenn covered with I guess you can say a better QB in Bray.  Seems like Murray is finally finding himself and GA is always stout on defense.  Tennessee barely beating a GREAT South Alabama team last week should get rolled.  I see this as a gift.

12:30PM – Clemson -12 vs. Syracuse.  Last year, I bet these 2 teams every week and they covered every week.  Since the QB change, Cuse has looked a LOT better but we’re talking about Clemson here.  I don’t think I need to explain.  Clemson will be up by 30+ by the 4th quarter and in come the back ups to finish the game and still cover easily.

12:30PM – BGSU -25.5 vs. UMass.  UMass is abysmal.  Averaging 7ppg this year.  BGSU’s QB Johnson has racked up some ridiculous yards and RB Greene will just be too much for UMass to handle.  I’m wondering if they’ll even score a TD.

12:30PM – Northern IL -9 vs. Kent St. Northern IL looks like they are back finally.  Jordan Lynch is one of my favorite CFB QB’s and maybe it took them a few games to adjust and make their way back.  Dominant performance against Purdue last week and I look for this play to continue this week.

12:30PM – The U -4.5 vs. GaTech.  The U football is back baby.  The brash team that the NCAA made rules for is back!  This bet is depending on if QB Morris plays for Miami.  Last year GT covered the spread but that was with Tevin Washington at the reigns of the offense.  Vad Lee is good but he’s not Tevin Washington.  2TD victory easy.

12:30 – North Texas -2.5 over Tulane.  North Texas is much improved and has played a pretty tough schedule so far and even upsetting Wenning and Ball St.  The defense isn’t giving up much and will prove to be too much for Tulane.

1:30PM – UCF -10.5 vs Memphis.  UCF QB Bortles is a STUD.  I dont see why the spread isn’t somewhere near 20 with the way Memphis QB is playing vs. the way Bortles is playing.  Last week UCF lead 10-0 against South Carolina and covered.  UCF by at least 2 TD’s.

3:00PM – Scoregon -38 vs. Colorado.  Once again for the 5th week in a row, I’m betting 1h Scoregon and whole game Scoregon.  And if for some reason hell freezes over and they don’t cover 1h, I’m going to put my life saving on the 2h.  Mariota and the Black Mamba, need I say more…

4:00PM – LSU -9.5 vs. MS St.   Not much needs to be said here.  Mettenberger is the most improved QB this year and with that heart breaking loss last week at GA, Les Miles is going to have his team ready to go.  #lesgeaux

5:00PM  – THE Ohio State University -6 vs. Northwestern.  Northwestern hasn’t been beating their cupcake schedule teams like they’re supposed to.  I actually would feel much safer with the musician Kenny G in the game!  But Brax Miller should get the job done here.  NW giving up too much yards on D and Brax will run all over them.  Easy 2 TD victory.

Evening Games

7:30PM – Stanford -6.5 vs. Washington.  Revenge game here.  Keith Price and Sankey are great but Hogan and the Stanford D will be a totally different story from Zona last week.  Stanford at home, this is my favorite game of the week.

I like a lot of games this week, we’ll see how they all plays out.  Lots to choose from, I hope you choose the ones that cover LOL.  GL fellas.

Week 5 Turmoil

Wasn’t a good week but wasn’t a bad week.  If you bet on all 9 games you should’ve still come up on top.  Texas A&M couldn’t stop a nose bleed and the 1 week I decide to bet on FL St. they took a down turn against sorry BC.  However, the game I was most disappointed in was the WY game.  After 4 hours of delays, I honestly was hoping the game would just be called off.  There was so much riding on that single game, SMH.  Hopefully week 6 turns out better.

Texas A&M -14 vs. Arkansas

I saw this at -3 and all of sudden it’s at -14 today after a few days of the line being off.  Ark is 1-3 ATS against some cupcakes this year.  That combined with no more Tyler Wilson, Beliema won’t make that much of a difference.  I don’t see any reason why the score doesn’t end up the same as it did last year.  I still like -14, if you have a the option to buy down half a point, take it at -13.5.  Still a solid bet.  But no longer my favorite game of the week.  Take Wyoming and Washington over this game.

CFB – Week 5 – POTW

Friday 9/27/2013

6:00PM – Utah St -9.5 vs. San Jose State.  David Fales is still the QB for SJSt, and was brilliant last year but for some reason this year, he isn’t off to the best start.  On the other hand Chuckie Keeton low-key is one of the stand out studs of CFB this year.  Despite the loss to USC last week, Utah St. should bounce back with ease.  Only 14 points last week from the Aggies but this year they are still averaging over 40ppg and should continue against SJSt.  I seen an easy 20+ point victory here.

Saturday 9/28/2012

Morning Games

9:00AM – The U -18.5 vs South Florida.  Not too much to say here.  Both teams have only had 1 real test this year.  The U came out on top of their test and USF was beaten by a stout Mich St. defense but dismal Mich St. offense.  Both teams shared a common game early this year in FAU.  Both teams didn’t cover against FAU but the difference is USF lost SU in a game they were favored by almost 2 TDs.  QB play will be important here.  The U smacked up USF last year BAD, and should be the same story this year.  The U is back!  I see a 3 TD victory here.

Afternoon Games

12:30 – Florida State -21 vs. Boston College.  Florida State is 3-0 ATS and I am kicking myself for not betting them all season.  I had to see what this kid Winston was all about.  He looks like the real deal.  BC has no run game and lost to USC who has high school QB talent.  Here’s my deal here, I’ve seen the line creep up to -21.5 and -22.  My recommendation is to buy a half a point drop it to -21, that’s the line I got.  Winston on Heisman watch!

1:00PM – Houston -2.5 vs. Texas San Antonio.  Both teams have been covering beasts this season.  I trust the QB and ground game of Houston to take this game in a close battle.  Houston by 7.

3:30PM – Alabama -15 vs. Ole Miss.  Bama has NOT been impressive by any means this year but are still 3-0.  Ole Miss has played some cupcakes to date.  We’re still waiting for Bama to showcase that completely dominant game and I think week 5 is where it happens.  No matter what you think it’s gotta be a crime to bet against a Nick Saban Bama team in the last 3-4 years.

4:00PM – Washington -10 vs. Arizona.  Washington’s Keith Price will prove to be too much in this game.  Denker is mobile but I am not impressed by this passing.  This is going to come down to Denker vs. Price, and Carey vs. Sankey.  I’ll give the RB positions a push but at QB Keith price will Molliwop Denker.  3 TD deficit. #3 ranked game for me.

4:00PM – Texas A&M -3 vs. Arkansas.  A much improved Arkansas under coach Beliema (or however you spell it).  We almost had a heart attack last week because coach Sumlin doesn’t share the same sentiment as the Baylor and Oregon coach.  If that game didn’t cover I would’ve been highly upset.  However in a line this low and Manziel playing the way he is.  This is my game of the week!  I like Texas A&M by more than 2 TD’s.  I’m dropping 3x the money here than any other game.

4:00PM – Wyoming -12 vs. Texas St.  QB Smith is Solid and with the Cowboys offense ranking in the top 10 I believe this year, this game would be another easy cover.  Line started at -9.5 and has jumped.  Jump on this before it goes up further.  This is my #2 ranked game after Texas A&M.

Evening Games

7:30 Oregon -36 vs. Cal.  Ok, you’re going to see this spread and it is going to scare you.  But check the track record.  Oregon’s last 3 spreads were, -59, -26.5, and -28.  Covered all of them.  I know I sound like a gambling idiot here but the first 3 Oregon games.  I bet them whole game, 1h, and again 2h.  They covered ALL 9 times LOL.  Until Oregon stumbles I have to put them in here.  AND once again I will take Oregon 1h which will probably be around -19 or -20 and the whole game.  Also note that if for some weird reason hell freezes over and they don’t cover 1h, bet your entire fortune on the 2h LOL.  Ok, maybe I’m taking it a bit too far but Scoregon, lets go!  Mariota and the Mamba once again, cannot say much more.

Last week I probably had another 3-4 winners that covered that I didn’t list up because I didn’t LOVE them.  This week seems really tough.  Weird spreads, good match ups.  Again, I wouldn’t put any bets up here that I haven’t taken myself.  This is where my small fortune lies.  Keep your fingers crossed and bust out your popcorn.

Thanks Everyone

Week 4 was a good week. Hit 7 out of the 10 picks I posted. Apologize on behalf of dabo sweeney who royally screwed us out of it being 8 of 10. Kick a FG! At least that’s what I was yelling Thursday night.

I left this Saturday thinking a few things. 1, Clemson and Northern IL are no longer the teams to bet every week (although I might take Clemson 1 more week). 2, Michigan is who we thought they were. A bunch of bums with wal mart fans. 3, sdspoo and uconn have earned my respect back.

Anyways, thanks to everyone that came through and had faith in some of the picks. It can always get better. On to week 5!

CFB – Week 4 – POTW

Well fellas, it’s that time of the week again.  If I’m going to try and make a name for myself, going have to make better picks than last week.  I really only loved 4 games last week and was 15 seconds away from going at least 3 out of 4 winners.  Well I hope at least everyone bet Money Mayweather.  That was my cash cow.  With all that being said let’s move on to the picks of the week.

Thursday 9/19/2013

4:30PM – Clemson -13.5 over NC State.  Both teams are off to a hot start to the season.  Both teams are also 1-1 ATS.  Clemson has had a harder test and with a spread like -52.5 last week for Clemson, no one was going to touch that (although I do like betting 1h on huge spreads).  Clemson won by 14 last year and with their improved defense and powerful offense they will score and score early.  NC St lost Glennon and their QB has thrown more picks than TD’s this year.  My opinion should be an easy cover.

Saturday

Morning Games

10:00AM – Ball St. -10 over Eastern Michigan.  I know you’re all thinking Ball St. disappointed last week.  But well found out North Texas is a legitimate squad (look down later at my upsets of the week).  Wenning was brilliant last week but the 5 turnovers did Ball so hard university in last week.  If it wasn’t for that it was a for sure cover.  Eastern Michigan will have a tough time running the ball which will translate into their passing game.  Hopefully a 21 point win for Ball St.

Afternoon Games

12:30PM – Maryland -5 over West Virginia.  Maryland is covering beast putting up points in their first 3 weeks, grants against some bums but they are decent bums.  On the other side, West Virginia is hurting with out Geno.  Averaging only 15-16 points in their first 2 games before last week playing GA St. but even Chatanooga and Samford put up 40+ on GA St.

1:00PM – Baylor -29 over UL Monroe.  Baylor scores and scores often LOL, check their last 2 games.  UL Monroe will have the pressure on offense to keep up and will fold in that pressure against the #1 scoring offense in the country.

4:00PM – Texas A&M -28 over SMU.  Same QB’s for both teams last year, should be the same scoring result as last year.  As annoying as I think Manziel is, he is a BEAST.  Couple costly picks last weeks, he should bounce back.  A&M should put up close to 60 points and hold SMU to less than 20.

4:30PM – Oregon St. -11 over SDSPoo.  I can’t really explain this besides.  Oregon St. has looked better since they shocking week 1 loss and SDSPoo has averaged 13 points a game.  Once again going under the theory, when you’re crap, you get bet against every week until proven otherwise.

5:00PM – Michigan -17.5 over UConn.  Michigan was terrible last week but that was because of all the red zone turnovers.  Gardner will bounce back and UConn is just horrendous.  Again falling under the crap theory.

Underdog picks

You all know I love favorites but this week there are a few dogs that I like.

9:00AM – North Texas +32.5 over Georgia.  North Texas has looked really good, esp last week against Ball St.  I don’t like huge spreads esp for GA.  If this was Scoregon, it would be a different story.  GA will win by less than 30.

12:30PM – Michigan St. +7 over Notre Dame.  Michigan St. defense stout, Rees just ok as the starter.  Defensive battle which Michigan St. will win.  I see a potential straight up Mich St. victory here.

7:15PM – Utah +7 over BYU.  Utah is a solid team this year and for the spread to be -7 BYU after the their shaky QB has one great running game is ludicrous.  Can’t remember the last time BYU has beaten a Utah program by more than 7.

Well get your bets in early.  GL Fam! And let me know your thoughts and input, I appreciate any input as I’m no expert.

Crazy Weekend of Sports

Well, after a few decent weeks I had a few set backs.  Of course I bet the 4 picks I was confident in, I wouldn’t throw out my picks and not bet them as well.  Went 2 of 4 on the weekend in college.  Luckily bet heavy on the 2 games I won.  Northern IL had set back but are still one of my favorite teams to bet.  Bama almost squeaked out the cover but against good teams there are some holes in that defense.  I rescind my statement that they will win a 3rd consecutive national title.  My money is now on THE Ohio State to take it all.  It all panned out just like I had figured.  I always have this theory that when all the favorites cover one week, the next week will be the complete opposite.  Sorry for the horrendous picks, I’ll have to go back to the drawing board this week.

On the other hand, I did tell everyone to bet the house on Floyd Money Mayweather.  Easiest pick you’ll see all year long.  Once again at age 36 he has joined the #vino club.  People can say what they want about Floyd but he’s become much more of a humble man in recent fights.  He doesn’t quite move around constantly like he did in his 20’s but his speed has not lost a step.  Mayweather gave Canelo so many different looks from staying low to using his patented shoulder roll to a more traditional stance.  Canelo knew he had to jab and hit the body but Floyd was just too much.  Canelo came in at 165lbs by fight time, his game plan should have been to go for the knock out.  Say what you want about the catch weight but when you come in at 165lbs the day after weigh-ins, C’MON!

CJ Ross.  What more can you say.  Can she give boxing any more of a black eye?  I even questioned how close the other 2 cards were.  I saw Canelo winning maybe 2 rounds at most.  I can’t even say much more about the judges.

Well this was the most bargained price you’ll see Floyd at.  I hope everyone took advantage.  Maybe Floyd will fight Danny Garcia next and I bet that line ends up between -500 to -650.  We begin a new week and hopefully some new money.
