College Football Week 2 Picks

After a long hiatus, we are back to make some picks for the 2016-2017 season.  Usually like to sit out the first few weeks but we are trying to ease back into the swing of things.  There are no picks of the week this week because we want to see the teams perform through the first few weeks.  That being said here are the the lines our team likes and has rolled out.

Saturday 9/9/2016

12:30PM PT – Duke -5.5 vs. Wake Forest.  Normally like to stay away from rivalry games but Duke looks to be in great form to start the season, granted it was only against NCC.  First year starter Daniel Jones continues the string of decent quarterback play from Duke.  Wake Forest started the season against Tulane with a whopping win of 7-3.  We expect the home team to cover by at least 3 TD’s, 38-7 final score.

4:30PM PT – Auburn -19.5 vs. Arkansas State.  One of the games we eyed was Ark St. last week vs. Toledo.  Remember when we all deemed Voytik to be a good QB at Pitt, well the brought his greatness to Ark St., he may be a QB to bet against every single week.  On the flip, everyone predicted an easy cover by Clemson week 1.  It was even the POTW for many cappers.  Sean White finally looks like he could manage a game and at the end of the day  Auburn just has athletes no matter which way you put it.  Last week was a 31-10 loss for the Red Wolves, should be the same type of score.  45-1o home squad.

4:30PM PT – BYU +3.5 at Utah.  Another instate rivalry game.  There’s not much logic to this pick.  Taysom Hill is that dude.  When he’s on the field, anything is possible.  After the departure of some starters and their work horse back Booker, where does the running game go.  I’ve made money on 95% of the time I bet on Taysom.  Much of the same this week, bet on this guy when you because he could suffer another season ending injury at any given moment.  We see a dog scratch win here.  31-28 BYU.

Good luck to all!  As always don’t bet if you can’t afford it.  Let’s get the feelers out and get ready for week 3, when the season really begins.

CFB – Week 12 – POTW

Saturday 11/16/13

Morning Games

9:00AM – UCF -16.5 vs. Temple.  Temple has been scrappy at covering this year but that was against other crappy teams besides Lou.  UCF on the other hand has taken care of business whenever they were supposed to.  Should be an easy cover here for the knights.

9:30AM – FL Atlantic -17 vs. Southern Miss.  I don’t know why I didn’t realize this but if you bet against SO MISS all season long you would’ve lost 1 time.  FL always has athletes and should cover this easy.

Afternoon Games

4:00PM – Houston +17 vs. Lou.  Lou and bridgewater are good, but so is o’korn for Houston.  Nearly beat UCF last week and UCF beat Lou earlier in the season.  If Lou takes it too lightly, they can lose straight up here. 17 points is a Christmas gift.

4:45PM – Alabama -23.5 vs. Ms St.  Do I have to explain here?  You just bet Bama every week.  1h and whole game.  and if they don’t cover 1h, you pound 2h.  That’s the type of team bama has been for the last 4-5 weeks.

5:00PM – Stanford -3 vs. USC.  USC has been surging but that ends Saturday.  Stanford might be the only team in the nation that might give Bama a challenge.  Stanford bullies USC for the 5th time in a row.

Good luck everyone and let me know what you guys have for the weekend.

Clemson

Clemson -10.5 is the play tonight. Whatever it’s at now. Buy it down to -10.5 or -11. Only a few home games left for Boyd, he has to show out. Clemson is back on track.

CFB – Week 11 – POTW

These mid-week games are really messing up my weeks.  I’ve liked a lot of these Wednesday games the past few weeks and have been hitting. Just haven’t had time to post early picks.  BGSU yesterday was probably one of the easiest bets I’ve had in the past few weeks.  Let’s continue the success into week 11.

Wednesday 11/6/2013

5:00PM – Ball So Hard Univ -20.5 vs. Central Michigan.  Ball St. once again has been that horse this year, BEAST ATS.  Wenning and Co had a few hiccups during the season but 7-2 ATS.  Only thing I can potentially see happening is Ball St. looking a bit ahead to next week in a match up with Northern IL.  Central Mich stays in the game for a quarter or a half and then Ball St. comes in and dominates the rest of the game.

Thursday 11/7/2013

6:00PM – Scoregon -10 vs. Stanford.  Oregon #3 in the BCS?  Disrespectful.  FL St. is the Budweiser of CFB.  Has a long history, nice branded name, shiny can, a name known all over the place.  Yet you pop open the can and it’s still a POS, as good as Pabst Blue Ribbon.  Anyway, this review was for Scoregon-Stanford right?!  Revenge game!  Oregon has been looking forward to this match up for the last year.  Stanford last year got in the way of Scoregon’s perfect season and trip to the BCS National Championship, all because of a missed field goal.  Mariota INSANE numbers 20 td’s no picks.  Once Scoregon takes care of business here in a blow out like they’ve done all year long.  And YES, it will be a blow out, nationally televised on a Thursday, Scoregon will not let off the gas pedal for what happened last year AND because once they take care of biz here they are back at #2 by a comfortable margin.  Mariota and the Black Mamba, 7-1 ATS.

Friday 11/8/2013

5:30PM – Lou FIRST HALF -17 or -18 vs. UConn.  Lou hasn’t been kind to us this season.  Revenge game here again.  Lou always comes out kills then the back ups come in 4th quarter and then lose it.  So with that being said and how horrible UConn is.  I like the Lou 1h play a lot here.  Look for this game to get ugly and get ugly very very fast.

Saturday 11/9/2013

9:00AM – Auburn -7.5 vs. Tennessee.  Ok, time to stop overlooking this Auburn team.  But more importantly, it’s time to start overlooking Tennessee.  Worley out, the back up Dobbs looks lost.  Auburn will come in and take care of business here by at least 2 TD’s wit that defense.

7:00PM – UCLA PICK vs. Arizona.  Sure RB Carey is still there and Denker is an upgrade from last year’s QB.  But Hundley is still there and a much upgraded defense.  AND 3 lackluster performances in the last 3 weeks.  UCLA will look to win and win impressively in their closing games of the season.  This should be an EASY cover.

GL everyone!

CFB – Week 10 – POTW

Sorry it took so long.  My favorite game this week was actually Houston and also loved AZ st. yesterday.  Good thing I didn’t post because we would’ve taken an L to start the week.

Saturday 11/2/2013

Morning Games

9:00AM – Northern IL -24.5 vs. UMass.  I took this when it was at 23.5, I’m seeing it as high at -25.  I would still take Northern IL to wax UMass.  UMass just cannot score and are even worse ATS.  63-0 last year, could be worse this year with Jordan Lynch back in Heisman form.

9:00AM – THE Ohio State FIRST HALF -17 vs. Purdue.  THE Oh St. has looked good this year and been covering.  The last 2 meeting Purdue has covered but this year will be different at least for the first half.  Look for THE OH st to kill this team just as they killed Penn St last week.

Afternoon Games

12:30PM – Clemson -17.5 vs. Virginia.  I am giving Clemson 1 last chance to right their ship here.  This Virginia team is bad there’s simply nothing else to say about it.  If Clemson doesn’t easily cover here by 2 TD’s I’ve lost all hope in this team.

That’s all I like.  This week seems like a good week to take off relax and actually enjoy the games for what they are LOL.  Good Luck and I’d love to hear from everyone else.  Maybe I’ll ride your bets this week.

CFB – Week 9 – POTW

2 shake down Saturdays in a row, I don’t think the bank accounts can afford a third straight week.  Ranked teams are falling by the minute and the cream is starting to rise to the top.  Let’s right the ship in week 9.

For those of you asking about the games before the weekend.  I wouldn’t touch any of them BUT if I were to bet, I’d take Kentucky +10.5.  Kentucky has played a BRUTAL schedule and their defense doesn’t get enough credit. Maybe I’m crazy because everyone seems to be laying the wood on MS St.  We’ll see.  BYU all the way Southwick out and the team banged up, should be easy.

Saturday 10/26/2013

Morning Games

9:00AM – Ball St. -10.5 vs. Akron.  Ball So Hard University just keeps on rolling.  Akron just can’t score enough to keep up.  Wenning continues to impress.  Had the Zips had QB Hirschman this might be a close one but Wenning against Pohl…fuggetaboutit.  Should be another Western Michigan type game.  45-17 final score.

9:30AM – GT -10 vs. VA.  Vad Lee is no Tevin Washington.  But Virginia…well Virginia is just Virginia.  Pathetic.  The offense just BLOWS, QB play is huge here.  GT took a dump all over Duke.  Duke took a dump all over VA last week.  So if A is better than B, and B is better than C, then that mean A will SHAT all over C right?  You get the point.  2 TD’s easily.

Afternoon Games

12:30PM – Northern IL -17 or -18 FirstHalf vs. EMU.  I realize I maybe taking a risk here BUT given the situation it’s a good one.  For those of you that don’t like taking halves, stay away LOL.  EMU is abysmal.  Last year NIU smacked em around 49-7 in a game where Jordan Lynch threw 1 TD.  Hard to see this NOT happening again with NIU at home this time.  Lock it up 31-7 First half, they’ll be covering by 1st quarter.

12:30PM – Clemson -14 vs. MD.  Never knew your season can go to shit and your QB can turn into garbage in the last 3 weeks until I saw the Terrapins.  Clemson and Boyd will look to kill here and kill every single team that comes in their way to try and make a BCS game.  After what happened last week, Clemson will unleash hell early and often.  Same result as last year.  45-10.

12:30PM – Alabama -28 vs. Tennessee.  Man TN as looked good this year AT HOME.  Bama has won the last 3 meetings between these teams by 31.  Shall we make that 4 years in a row.  Bama is just too stingy and even through the bad weeks Bama has been my horse.  So out of loyalty and because they are who we thought they were, they make this list until they don’t.  Someone play the commercial…ROLL TIDE!

Evening Games

7:30PM – Fresno St. -8 vs. SDSU.  SDSU is no longer SDSPOO but Derek Carr is just that dude in the Mountain West.  23 TD’s to just 4 INT’s, insane numbers.  Could be a shoot out or it could just be a sloppy one sided victory, in any case the result is the same as last year but a much improved Derek Carr.

That’s all folks, lock em up and let’s make some $$$ back.

MNF

Well, from the last 2 weeks of shake up Saturdays I’ve had all types of people upset. Threatening to not take my bet. Lol. I gotta say, I just post my opinions and thoughts on each game just as a reference to their own thoughts. I usually like to make my picks and match them up against friends and experts. So apologies for the last few weeks.

What better way than to right the ship than pick a MNF winner. Like the giants who know Owen…Owen 6 that is lol. I’m going to right the ship with a Monday night win. Hopefully. I like Eli to get back on track. G-Men -3.5. Will freeman come in and sh*t all over my pick? Lets wait and see lol.

CFB – Week 8 – POTW

Thursday 10/17/2013

4:30PM – The U -8.5 vs. UNC.  UNC after so many returning starters have actually taken a step back.  Renner outstanding last year looks lost this year.  He’s questionable again this week with a bad hammy.  I’m not sure what’s worse having him with a bad hammy in or the back up QB.  The U football has made a huge step this year and should roll by 2+ TD’s.

Saturday 10/19/2012

Morning Games

9:21AM – Florida -3 vs. Mizzou.  I thought Florida would still win this game because of their defense but with Mizzou’s stud QB Franklin out, all hope went down the shitter like my picks last week.  Florida stayed close last week against a great LSU team because of their physical defense.  Although UF offense isn’t what it used to be, the defense will do enough to win.  I see a 2 TD victory.

11:00AM – Wyoming -7 vs. CSU.  Wyoming rolled last year and this year QB  Smith is looking better than ever.  Wyoming screwed us week 5 against Texas St. but they get another chance at redemption here.  WY offense within the top 10 of the country, hard to see them not winning by at least a TD here.

Afternoon Games

12:30PM – Buffalo -20.5 vs. UMass.  UMass just can’t score.  They’re averaging just over 7ppg.  The only reason they have been covering is because their competition stoops to their level and takes a dump.  Buffalo much improved from last year and the offense moves the ball.  Buffalo will score and they will score often.  30+ points victory.

12:30PM – UCLA +6.5 vs. Stanford.  Stanford NOT playing well at all.  They struggled with Washington at home and were exposed by Utah last week.  Allowing 300+ yards on D.  Hundley is improved from last year and will take revenge this year.  Bruins in a SU win by a TD.

4:00PM – Alabama -28 vs. Arkansas.  Bama is still continuing to do their thing.  They’re shakey against the spread this year but they ROLLED Ark Last year 52-0.  Granted it isn’t the same team but Ark is looking as crappy as ever.  Bama defense too much.  Maybe they’ll score a TD maybe not.  Tide only allowing TD since the Texas A&M game, RIDICULOUS.

For those of you that are asking about Scoregon.  I like them, I liked them for first and and whole game but WSU is improved.  When I say improved I’m not saying good.   When your program is shit and at rock bottom there’s only one way to go and that’s up.  WSU has covered the last 3 meeting all with huge spreads such as this.  I still do think that the Black Mamba and Mariota will get it done but bet at your own risk.

I apologize for last week, that was HORRIBLE.  I guess that’s why I don’t get paid for my opinions lol.  Let’s right the ship this week.  Good luck everyone and once again thanks for reading.

Week 7 Disaster!

Well when you like betting favorites, this is what happens lol. Every dog has his day. Readers made some very good points. Need to narrow down my picks. There has been way too may games picked in the last 2 weeks. We’ll move on to week 8 with a new outlook!
